Required reading

Via LGF I read this great essay by Dave Grossman:
On Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs.

I wouldn't say I agree with every word, he seems to suggest we should all turn into some sort of Jack Bauer types (though he mellows in the last paragraph, it looks tacked-on somehow). Still there's some truth to the argument and the "weapons in church" theme rings very true to me.
