How will we be able to tell the difference?

Hamas will not extend cease-fire beyond this year

I mean, seriously, does anyone believe the claim that Hamas has held to a ceasefire for the last 9 months?

Have a look here (oh, of course, that doesn't count since the attacks were in Judea), and this (where the geniuses at Hamas promise in September to stop the attacks which they claim they have not been doing since February).

Anyway, ceasefire obviously means something different to Hamas when you see quotes like this:
"Our people have the right to respond to the Israeli crimes committed against our civilians and our holy warriors," said Sami Abu Zuhri, another Hamas spokesman. "Our commitment to the calm does not mean that we don't have the right to retaliate."

Militant factions interpret the cease-fire to mean they can respond to individual Israeli attacks while remaining committed to the truce...

Taqiyaa, anyone?
